Resolution No.(93): "Ruling on Investing Minor's Money by the Guardian"

Resolution No.(93) by the Board of Iftaa' Research and Islamic Studies:

"Ruling on Investing Minor's Money by the Guardian"

Date: 3/8/1426 AH 7/9/2005 AD

 

 

Answer: The Board  decided  that is unlawful to develop or to invest a minor's property in accordance with the ruling of Shariaa, Also the minor must  be guided to make lawful earnings and avoiding unlawful earnings .

As a result, it's lawful for a guardian to invest or to develop a minor's money on condition of a commitment before Sharia Judge to do so in line with its rulings.

In case the guardian fails to fulfill his duties, it is considered unlawful and he is responsible for the minor's money which requires to invalidate his custody. And Allah Knows Best.

Is it required for a discerning child to make the intention at night if they wish to fast?

If a discerning child wishes to fast during Ramadan, they must make the intention at night because intention is one of the pillars of fasting, even though fasting is not obligatory for them.

Is it permissible to read from the Mus-haf during Tarawih prayer?

Yes, it is permissible to read from the Mus-haf during Tarawih prayer, provided that excessive movements that invalidate the prayer are avoided.
However, it is preferable for the imam to be a memorizer of the Quran and to recite from memory.

Is a Muslim is Permitted to Pray Wearing Shoes?

All perfect praise be to Allah The Lord of The Worlds, and may His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all of his family and companions                                                                                                                                                                                                                                There is no harm for a Muslim to pray wearing shoes or slippers so long as they are pure, since a man asked Anas Ibn Malik: "Did the Prophet (PBUH) use to offer the prayers with his shoes on?" He said: "Yes." Moreover, Ibn Rajab (May Allah have mercy on his soul) said: "Performing prayer wearing slippers/shoes is permissible according the majority of the Muslim scholars." Does passing wind from the anus affect ritual purity?

Ablution is nullified by the passing of wind from the anus, but washing the anus is not required as wind leaves no impurity.
