Resolution No(83) by the Board of Iftaa`, Research and Islamic Studies:

“ Ruling on the Zakat of Orphans` Funds Run by the Orphans` Fund Development Foundation “

Date: 20/2/1426 AH, corresponding to 31/3/2005 AD.

 

 

 

Question:

What is the ruling on the Zakat due on orphans` funds run by the Orphans` Fund Development Foundation, to be given to the poor and needy through the Zakat Fund?

 

Answer: All perfect praise be to Allah.

After  the Board deliberated this issue, considered the opinions of Muslim jurists, and reviewed the code followed by the Orphans` Fund Development Foundation, which doesn`t grant the power to pay Zakat from the orphans` funds, it deemed that the Zakat Fund can`t ask the Foundation to pay that Zakat. And Allah Knows Best.

How should I deal with the whispers of the devil with regard to ablution and purity?

Whispers in ablution are from the devil, and so you should take refuge in Allah from the devil`s evil suggestions that aim to distort the religion. Thus, once an organ is completely pure, don`t question its purity since having whispers doesn`t mean that the purity is invalid as it has already been established.

I am a doctor, and sometimes I refer patients to the hospital for surgical interventions, and they give me a commission from the fees of the surgeries, even though I do not perform these surgeries. What is the ruling?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds, and may His Peace and Blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all of his family and companions.
If this commission is charged to the patient as part of the operation costs, then it is not permissible. Additionally, a doctor should only recommend surgery if there is a genuine medical need, and the hospital should only perform an operation when necessary. Most of the narrations about the signs of the Hour concerning the Sufyani, who is said to appear before the Mahdi, indicate that he is the leader of the army that will invade the Kaaba, and Allah will cause the earth to swallow them. We disassociate ourselves before Allah from those who killed Al-Husayn Ibn Ali (may Allah be pleased with them), supported his killing, or encouraged it, whether openly or secretly. Is permissible to include a will requesting that a Holy Qur'an buried along with me?

It is not permissible to include a will requesting that a Quran be buried with the deceased in their grave. This is because the body of the deceased typically decomposes and may release impure substances, and it is not allowed to expose the Quran to impurity. Intentionally desecrating the Quran is an act of disbelief. Instead, read the Quran during your lifetime, as it will benefit you after death. And Allah Knows Best.
