Resolution No.(67): "Ruling on Dividing Land in Accordance with Tameem Ad-Dari`s Endowment"

Date: 23/5/1424 AH corresponding to 23/7/2003 AD.

 

The Board received the following question:

How to divide an inherited plot of land {Waqf Tameem Ad-Dari type} amongst eligible heirs, taking into consideration that it is located within the borders of Al-Khalil Municipality. Is it possible to divide it according to Sharia, or the Ottoman Land Code?

Answer: All success is due to Allah.

After deliberation, the Board is of the view that the revenue of the aforementioned plot and the structure on it is to be divided according to Sharia, and not the Ottoman Land Code. This is because it isn`t a miri land stated in the Ottoman Land Code, rather, it is registered as an endowment of Tameem Ad-Dari`s type, located within the borders of Al-Khalil Municipality. I went to the health center today to take an intramuscular injection of Neurorubin B12. The nurse told me that this type of injection breaks the fast because it nourishes the body. Is this true? I have heard that intramuscular injections do not break the fast, but I was unsure about this type, so I decided not to take the injection.
 
 
 
 
 

Therapeutic injections administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly do not invalidate the fast because they do not enter the digestive tract through an open passage. However, intravenous injections containing nutritional fluids do break the fast, as they are akin to food and drink in effect. The B12 injection is a therapeutic injection and does not break the fast. And Allah Knows Best.
 
 
 
 
 
 

Is it permissible for the mother to offer an Aqeeqah (the sheep slaughtered on the seventh day from the child`s birth)for her son?

Aqeeqah is due on the one obliged to provide for the newborn, and it is permissible for the grandfather, or the mother to offer the Aqeeqah.

Is permissible to include a will requesting that a Holy Qur'an buried along with me?

It is not permissible to include a will requesting that a Quran be buried with the deceased in their grave. This is because the body of the deceased typically decomposes and may release impure substances, and it is not allowed to expose the Quran to impurity. Intentionally desecrating the Quran is an act of disbelief. Instead, read the Quran during your lifetime, as it will benefit you after death. And Allah Knows Best.

I`m getting old and haven`t got married yet. I love wearing the veil, but people advised me to take it off because it could stand in the way of my marriage, and that I should wear it after getting married, what should I do?

The veil (face drape) is the wear of the Prophet`s (PBUH) wives and righteous female companions (May Allah be pleased with them) and whoever imitates a certain group of people shall receive the same reward or punishment like themselves. Only those who are religiously poor deny women wearing the veil, and thinking that it stops a woman from getting married is from the evil suggestions of the devil.
