The Fatwa Department of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was founded in 1921. Since its formation, it has relied upon Hanafi fatwas which were in use during the Ottoman era, and the Mufti has answered the questions of members of the public, whether they relate to worship or financial transactions or personal statutes, and it has assigned a mufti to each judge in cities both large and small. What is the Time for Making up Fajr Prayer and Other Missed Ones?

All perfect praise be to Allah The Lord of The Worlds and may His Peace and Blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all of his familty and companion.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever forgets a prayer, let him perform it when he remembers it." [Muslim]. As soon as you (Questioner) wake up, you are obliged to make up the missed Fajr prayer. And Allah Knows Best.

Is it permissible for a Muslim to escort his deceased disbelieving relative to his final resting place?

It is permissible provided that he doesn`t walk behind non-Islamic symbols, rather he should walk in front of them.

Is it permissible for a person who broke fasting in Ramadan because of being sick to pay a ransom?

If there is hope for him/her to be cured, then he would be required to make up for the missed fasting days when he/she recovers, and no ransom is due on him/her. If his/her disease is incurable, then he/she would be required to pay a ransom for each missed fasting day, which is (600) grams of wheat, or rice. And Allah Knows Best.

Who has the right to child custody when final divorce takes place?

The wife has the right to child custody until her children reach the age of puberty. However, if she gets married, the right of custody becomes that of her mother`s.
