The Fatwa Department of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was founded in 1921. Since its formation, it has relied upon Hanafi fatwas which were in use during the Ottoman era, and the Mufti has answered the questions of members of the public, whether they relate to worship or financial transactions or personal statutes, and it has assigned a mufti to each judge in cities both large and small. If your work is lawful and has no effect on your beliefs, then there is no sin on you and do your best to represent the true face of Islam. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.

I want to buy a house by having a loan from a bank?

If taking a loan from usrious banks it is impermissible; on the other hand, if this took place through Islamic ones then it is permissible to get the loan, since Allah the Most Exalted Said (What means): "And Allah has made buying lawful and forbidden usury (riba)." And Allah Knows Best.

Is prayer mandatory on a dying person who goes through a state of unconsciousness, then wakes up?

If he wakes up and was conscious, then he should pray the way/manner he could, but if he wasn't, then he is exempted from obligatory prayer as Allah Says in this regard (What means): "On no soul doth God Place a burden greater than it can bear." [Al-Baqarah/286].

Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to wear trousers at home?

Wearing trousers at home isn't prohibited so long as non-Mahrams do not see her. And Allah Knows Best.

Is it permissible for someone who has forgotten to mention the supplication pertaining to answering the call of nature to say it while in the toilet?

It is disliked for a Muslim to mention Allah while in the toilet, but he/she may recall the supplication in his/her head without uttering it; that is in case he/she had forgotten mentioning it before entering the toilet.

Is it permissible for a person to give the Zakah (obligatory charity) to his daughter-in-law?

Yes, it is permissible for a person to give the Zakah to his daughter-in-law if she was poor, and none provided for particularly by whom are obliged to provide for her. And Allah Knows Best.

What should a woman who delayed making up for missed fast, due to menstruation, till the start of the next Ramadan?

Whosoever broke fasting in Ramadan, and was able to make up for it, but didn`t until the next Ramadan started, is obliged to make up for the missed days, and to pay the ransom as well. However, if he/she wasn`t able to before next Ramadhaan due to an excuse, then he/she should only make up for the missed days. And Allah Knows Best.

What is the ruling on Qonot Du`a (supplication) at dawn prayer?

All perfect praise be to Allah,The Lord of The Worlds It is a confirmed Sunnah, and whoever leaves it should perform Sujood As-Sahw (prostration of forgetfulness). And Allah Knows Best.
