The General Iftaa Department is pleased to extend its warmest congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Al-Hasanat on the issuance of the royal decree appointing him as the Grand Mufti of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. What is the ruling on the existence of cattles' marketplace of (Sheeps, cows and chickens ) inside a graveyard?

Graves must be respected, and it is not permissible to sit on them or show any disrespect. Establishing a marketplace within a cemetery is undoubtedly a form of disrespect to the deceased and is not permissible. Such actions should not be tolerated. And Allah Knows Best.

What is the expiation for perjury?

Perjury is forbidden and one of the major sins that require turning to Allah in repentance, seeking His forgiveness, giving back rights to whom they belong, or seeking their forgiveness, and expiating for that oath.

What is the best manner in distributing the meat of the Aqeeqah?

It is better to divide all of it as cooked meat amongst the poor and the needy. Dividing it into three portions is a Sunnah, but it is permissible to keep all of it provided that a portion, even a small one, is given to the poor and needy (one kilo for example).
