The Grand Mufti Denies the Invalidity of Divorce during the Curfew

 

His Grace the Grand Mufti of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Sheikh Abdul Karim Al-Khasawneh, denied what was mentioned in a message that some people are circulating, which attributes to His Grace the statement that divorce that takes place during the days of curfew is invalid.

 

He said that this claim is false and that divorce cases are handled by the Department`s Muftis during this temporary circumstance and in an exceptional manner to facilitate for the citizens. He added that it is necessary that people involved in such cases visit the Department after this epidemic ends to get a written Fatwa.

 

His Grace warned against circulating such rumors via social media and doing so is typical of the hypocrites and a form of lying and fabricating, which are amongst the major sins. Allah the Almighty says {what means}: " It is those who believe not in the Signs of God, that forge falsehood: it is they who lie!"

However, if there was no woman to deliver the baby, then it is permissible for a male doctor do deliver it. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.

We disassociate ourselves before Allah from those who killed Al-Husayn Ibn Ali (may Allah be pleased with them), supported his killing, or encouraged it, whether openly or secretly. Ruling when Husband Utters Divorce Jokingly, or in the State of Intoxication or Anger 

All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May Allah`s peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.
The man who utters divorce while in the state of anger, his divorce doesn`t take place and the same ruling applies to the man who is forced to utter divorce because he is threatened to be killed or one of his organs cut off, in addition to other matters that scholars have mentioned in this regard. However, the man who utters divorce jokingly or while having intentionally drunk alcohol, his divorce takes place. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.
