Resolution No.(191)(11/2013) by the Board of Iftaa`, Research and Islamic Studies:

"Over Denouncement of the Israeli Attempts To Divide Al-Aqsa Holy Mosque"

Date: the 2nd of Muharram , 1435 A.H, corresponding to the 6th of November , 2013 A.D.

 

 All perfect praise is due to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds; and may His peace and blessings be upon Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions:

The Board of Iftaa`, Research and Islamic Studies discussed, in its tenth session held on the above given date, the Israeli aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque; consequently, it has issued the following statement :

 Allah ,The Exalted ,Has Honored Al-Aqsa Mosque with a special status in the hearts of all Muslims, emanating from the essence of their belief  as it is the first of the two Kiblahs (Al-Aqsa Mosque and The Sacred Mosque of Makkah), the second of the two holy mosques (The sacred mosques of Makkah and Medina), the third of the Haraams as well as the place from where the Messenger (PBUH) embarked on his nocturnal journey (Al-Israa`wal Mi`raaj). Al-Aqsa Mosque is a sacred destination that the hearts of Muslims long to, and where their  rewards  are multiplied. The Messenger (PBUH) said: “You should not undertake a special journey to visit any place other than the three mosques: the Sacred Mosque of Makkah, this Mosque of mine and Al-Aqsa Mosque (of Jerusalem )." {Agreed upon}.

We, members of The Jordan Iftaa` Board, who are privileged with a wise Hashemite leadership that spares no effort in restoring and defending Al-Aqsa Mosque based on a deeply-rooted Islamic conviction that tightly bonds all Muslims, stress our dismissal of the Israeli acts of escalation which are intended to provoke the feelings of  Muslims as well as divide and judaize  the Mosque. Allah, The Exalted, Said (What means): “And who does greater evil than he who bars God's places of worship, so that His Name be not invoked in them, and strives to ruin them?; such men might never enter them, save in fear; for them in this world is degradation; and in the Hereafter a mighty chastisement." {Al-Baqarah/114}. 

We highly appreciate the steadfastness of our Palestinian brothers  and commend their heroic defense of Jerusalem and the holy places. We beseech Allah to grant them victory and keep them strong. In this era, it is the duty of  Muslims: people, leaderships, governments or thinkers to defend Al-Aqsa against different threats and offences.

 We sincerely pray that Allah pardons our sins , achieves our aspirations , grants us victory  and helps us retrieve our holy places; that is surely no difficult matter for Allah. And all perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The World.

What is the ruling on forgetting an integral of the prayer?

Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon our Master, the Messenger of Allah.
 
Whoever forgets an integral (Rukn) of the prayer and remembers it before reaching the equivalent point in the subsequent unit (Rak'ah), must return to it (i.e., perform it) and complete his prayer, then perform the prostration of forgetfulness (Sujud al-Sahw) at the end of his prayer. However, if he remembers it after reaching the equivalent point in the subsequent unit, the Rak'ah in which the integral was forgotten is invalidated, and the current unit takes its place; he then completes a full Rak'ah to compensate and performs the prostration of forgetfulness.
 
It is stated in Nihayat al-Muhtaj ila Sharh al-Minhaj (Vol.1/P.543): 'If he becomes certain at the end of his prayer, or after the Salam—provided the interval is not long according to custom and he has not stepped on an impurity—that he omitted a prostration from the final Rak'ah, he must perform it and repeat the Tashahhud, as his previous Tashahhud occurred before its proper place. If the omission was from a Rak'ah other than the final one, he must perform a full Rak'ah, because the deficient unit was completed by a prostration from the subsequent one, rendering the rest of that subsequent unit void.' And Allah the Exalted knows best.

What are the Sunnahs and etiquettes related to the slaughtering of an animal?

 

Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon our master, the Messenger of Allah.
 
1-The animal should not be terrified or frightened before it is slaughtered.
 
2-An animal should not be slaughtered in front of other animals.
 
3-It is recommended to offer water to the animal before it is slaughtered.
 
4-The knife must be sharpened before the slaughter to ensure that the esophagus, trachea, and jugular veins are severed as quickly and cleanly as possible. This is based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "Verily, Allah has prescribed Ihsan (excellence/proficiency) in all things. So, if you kill, kill well; and if you slaughter, slaughter well. Let each one of you sharpen his blade and let him spare the animal unnecessary suffering." [Narrated by Muslim].
 
5-One must not begin skinning or butchering the animal until its death has been fully confirmed.
 
6-Cows and Sheep: It is best to slaughter them while they are lying on their left side, facing the Qiblah. The right hind leg should be left untied so the animal can move it, which helps it remain more comfortable during its final moments. Unlike other livestock, it is preferred to perform Nahr (slaughtering by a swift stab at the base of the neck) while the camel is standing, with its left knee tied. And Allah the Almighty knows best.

What are the nullifiers of fasting?

1. Anything that enters the body cavity intentionally, even in small amounts, through an open passage such as the mouth, nose, ears, front, or back private parts.
2. Intentional vomiting.
3. Sexual intercourse.
4. Masturbation.
5. Menstruation and postnatal bleeding.
6. Insanity.
7. Apostasy.
8. Fainting if it lasts for the entire day.

What is the ruling on istinja' after urination, and is it done with water and soap or with water only?

Istinja' from urine and stool is obligatory. It is permissible to perform istinja' with water alone, or with toilet paper alone. The best way is with toilet paper then water. If one wishes to suffice with one of them, then water is better. And Allah the Almighty knows best.
