Resolution No.(43): "Ruling on the Amendments of the Islamic International Arab Bank`s Articles of Association and Statute Regualtions"

Date: 25/7/1420 AH, corresponding to 13/11/1999

We have received the following question:

Do the certificate of incorporation and the statute of the Islamic International Arab bank comply with the rulings of Islamic Sharia?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

Answer: The Board has decided to approve the amendments indicated in the above letter, and which comply with the rulings of Islamic Sharia, provided that paragraph (D) of article (28) is rewritten to read as follows:

Paragraph (D) The other precautions:

Any percentage of the profits based on the suggestion of the administrative board and the approval of the general authority in favor of any other precautions, regardless of their name or purpose, in the best interest of the company and its course of business, provided that this deduction is made after that of the income tax. Is it permissible to offer Tahajjud prayer after Witr prayer?

It is permissible to offer voluntary prayer after Witr (An odd number prayer performed between Isha and Fajr) prayer. However, it is desirable that the night prayer be ended with Witr. Therefore, it is desirable for one, who thought that he was most probably going to wake up at night in order to offer Tahajjud, to offer Witr after it, but one, who fears that he might not wake up, should offer Witr before going to bed.

Does passing wind from the anus affect ritual purity?

Ablution is nullified by the passing of wind from the anus, but washing the anus is not required as wind leaves no impurity.

I underwent a procedure for a molar pregnancy (hydatidiform mole), and after that, the bleeding continued for more than two months, during which I did not pray. Do I need to make up the missed prayers?

If you have previously experienced postpartum bleeding, the duration of the current bleeding is treated the same as your previous postpartum period. Any bleeding that exceeds this duration must be considered irregular bleeding (istihada), and you must make up the missed prayers. If this is the first time, then any bleeding beyond sixty days is considered irregular bleeding. You must perform ghusl, pray, and make up the prayers for the days beyond the sixty-day limit. What is the ruling on the existence of cattles' marketplace of (Sheeps, cows and chickens ) inside a graveyard?

Graves must be respected, and it is not permissible to sit on them or show any disrespect. Establishing a marketplace within a cemetery is undoubtedly a form of disrespect to the deceased and is not permissible. Such actions should not be tolerated. And Allah Knows Best.
