Resolution No.(282)(18/2019), By The Board of Iftaa', Researches and Islamic Studies:

"Islamic Ruling on Shooting a Scene in a Cemetery"

Date: 25/Safar/1441 AH, corresponding to 24/10/2019 AD.

 

Praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds.

On its tenth session held on the above date, the Board reviewed the letter No.(2/1/1/12580) sent from His Excellency the Secretary General of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Awqaf Islamic Affairs and Holy Places Mr. Abdullah Al-Abbadi, and it reads as follows:

In reference to the letter of the Director of Production Services at the Royal Film Commission concerning shooting a scene in a cemetery in Swaileh area, could Your Grace explain the ruling of Sharia on that?

After careful consideration, the Board decided what follows:

If the scene to be filmed in the cemetery is confined to visiting a grave and reciting Al-Fatihah there then there is nothing wrong with that so long as the rules of visiting graves are adhered to. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.

What is the ruling when the duration of the monthly period varies, and sporadically increases?

If the period didn`t exceed (15) days from the first seeing of blood discharges until its end including the times of temporary cessation, then it is menses. But, if the period exceeded (15) days, then the woman experiencing this is Mostahadah (bleeding outside the time of monthly period), and should abide by her regular period, and consult one of the scholars.

I am a woman, and my natural menstrual cycle lasts six days. In the evening, I perform the testimony (Tashahhud) for myself, and then I engage in sexual intercourse with my husband. After intercourse, I experience bleeding, either immediately or the next day. Is my intercourse with my husband during this time forbidden?
 

It seems that your menstrual cycle lasts seven days, not six. Therefore, you should wait until the bleeding stops, then perform ghusl and pray. And Allah Knows Best.

Is it permissible for a woman to inherit the same share as of a man?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds, and may His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all if his family and companions.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Thorough studies in which woman's right to inherit according to law of distribution of estate indicates that there are more than one case by which women inherit the same as man and sometimes much more, or to shed the lights regarding the right to inherit while men who share the same family line with her don't have the right to inherit because the deceased has closer ties of kinship with her. In addition to four cases whereas woman inherits half share in comparison with man's share although they had the same degree of kinship with the deceased. Is it lawful or unlawful to take payment of key money?

If the lease contract has expired and the lessor refrained from renewing it, then the tenant is obliged to leave the property for nothing. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.
