All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all of his family and companions.
Islam has prohibited every act that constitutes assistance in what is forbidden. Allah The Almighty Says (What means]: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty." [Al-Ma'idah/2]. Delivering prohibited goods is a form of this forbidden assistance. In this regard, Sheikh Al-Islam Zakaria Al-Ansari, may Allah have mercy on him, stated: "If one were to sell grapes to someone who will use them to make wine—knowing or assuming that to be the case... or any similar transaction that leads to sin, such as selling fresh dates to one who will make Nabidh (an intoxicant), or selling a fighting cock or a butting ram to one who engages in such practices—it is prohibited because it is a means that facilitates sin." [Asna Al-Matalib/Vol. 2/P.41]
In general, there is no sin in working in delivery services if the delivery person has no knowledge of the contents of an order. They are not obligated to inspect or inquire about the contents of a delivery package. However, if they become certain that the items include, for example, pork, alcohol, or similar prohibited substances, then delivering them is not permissible. In such a case, they should decline to deliver the order, as doing so would constitute assistance in a forbidden act.
In conclusion, it is prohibited to deliver prohibited goods, even when mixed with other permissible ones, if the worker is aware of their presence. If the worker has no such knowledge, then there is no sin in fulfilling the delivery. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.
