The General Iftaa` Department launched its channel on the Whatsapp social communication application, providing citizens with the opportunity to follow fatwas, Iftaa` Council`s Resolutions, and videos issued by the Department.

The launching of this service comes with the aim of sharing the religious views of the General Iftaa` Department on issues concerning daily life situations. It seeks to promote awareness, guidance, correct any misconceptions, and enhance the content published through this application to convey the true message of Islam— moderate and balanced — to the citizens.

It is not permissible for a woman in her menstrual period, or in postpartum to recite the Quran, even by heart, or without actually touching the Quran itself. Recitation itself is what is prohibited on her regardless of how it is done. However, it is permissible for her to surf through the Quran by her eyes, or to recall it in her head without uttering the words. There is no harm for her to look at the Quranic verses on the computer without touching it, or to utter the words as this is called looking not reciting or reading.

What should one who forgot to offer the second Sajda during congregational prayer, and remembered it before the end of the prayer do?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds.                                                                                                                                                          Whoever forgets a pillar of prayer while in congregation must follow the lead of the Imam, and after the latter offers Tasleem, he should offer one Rakah, then perform Sujood As-Sahw (prostration of forgetfulness). No, it isn`t permissible to combine Zuhr and Asr, or Maghrib and Isha because of being busy with a wedding since the exemption for combining prayers is based on lawful excuses, and this isn`t one of them. And Allah Knows Best.
