The General Iftaa` Department launched its channel on the Whatsapp social communication application, providing citizens with the opportunity to follow fatwas, Iftaa` Council`s Resolutions, and videos issued by the Department.

The launching of this service comes with the aim of sharing the religious views of the General Iftaa` Department on issues concerning daily life situations. It seeks to promote awareness, guidance, correct any misconceptions, and enhance the content published through this application to convey the true message of Islam— moderate and balanced — to the citizens.

Missed fasting days must be made up, and it is permissible to make them up on non-consecutive days, as continuity is not required for making up missed fasts. Additionally, expiation (Fidya) must be given: feeding one needy person for each day if the makeup is delayed for one year. My husband told me that he concluded our marriage with a fake name that belongs to another person, because he was sentenced. Nowadays, he recieved an ID, passport and birth certificate with the his current name. What is the ruling on being married to him?

Praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds, and may His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all of his family and companions.  As regards being married to the person mentioned in your question: The marriage is valid so long as he was the same person your guardian concluded the marriage with, even if he changed his name i.e. if your marriage contract was concluded with the same person, since what counts regarding marriage is the persons not names. And Allah Knows Best.

 

What is the ruling on the yellow discharge that comes from a woman during pregnancy?

These discharges are not menstrual blood, but they are impure like urine and break the Wudu (ablution). If the discharge is frequent, its ruling is similar to that of urinary incontinence. The woman should perform wudu after the time of each prayer, pray the obligatory prayer, and any additional prayers she wishes, read the Quran, and take precautions against impurity to the best of her ability. Using a special pad can prevent the impurity from spreading. And Allah Knows Best.

Is it permissible to repeat the Istikhara (seeking guidance) prayer, and is it a condition that one should sleep after offering it?
