The Grand Mufti Denies the Invalidity of Divorce during the Curfew

 

His Grace the Grand Mufti of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Sheikh Abdul Karim Al-Khasawneh, denied what was mentioned in a message that some people are circulating, which attributes to His Grace the statement that divorce that takes place during the days of curfew is invalid.

 

He said that this claim is false and that divorce cases are handled by the Department`s Muftis during this temporary circumstance and in an exceptional manner to facilitate for the citizens. He added that it is necessary that people involved in such cases visit the Department after this epidemic ends to get a written Fatwa.

 

His Grace warned against circulating such rumors via social media and doing so is typical of the hypocrites and a form of lying and fabricating, which are amongst the major sins. Allah the Almighty says {what means}: " It is those who believe not in the Signs of God, that forge falsehood: it is they who lie!"

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds                                                                                                                                                                        It is permissible for a sick person, who is unable to stand up, to offer prayer while sitting on a chair. If he/she was unable to prostrate while on the chair, the he/she should pray while sitting on the ground, but if he/she was neither able to bow (Roku),nor to prostrate, then he can do them while sitting on the chair. Should Al-Basmalah (i.e. saying Bismillaaahi Ar-Rahmaani Ar-Raheemi) be recited after Takbeerat Al-Ihram (saying Allahuakbar) which marks the beginning of prayer?

What is the Islamic ruling regarding a person finding buried treasure, whether gold or artifacts, and what is their share of it?

If the buried treasure is Islamic, it is considered Luqta (lost property), and the finder must announce it to locate its owner. If all efforts to find the owner fail, the finder may take ownership of it. If the treasure is non-Islamic and consists of gold or silver, zakat must be paid on it, which is one-fifth of its value. How to pay Zakah (obligatory charity) due on articles of merchandise?

Articles of merchandise are estimated by their whole sale market price at the end of each lunar year, and (2.5%) of their value is paid as Zakah whether it (value) went up, or down compared to actual purchasing price, and whether the increase (profit) was in the article itself such as an increase in the animal`s weight, or in the prices themselves.
