Statement on the Circulated Fatwa Forbidding Abstaining from Paying the Water Bill 

 

In the Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Most Compassionate

 

Allah the Almighty says {What means}: "The General Iftaa` Department confirms that it hasn`t recently issued a Fatwa forbidding abstaining from paying the water bill and the news circulated social media concerns an old Fatwa included in the book entitled (The Guide on Water from an Islamic Perspective) addressing Imams and preachers.

 

The Department calls on journalists to be objective and choose the right time in publishing its Fatwa since unsuitable time and place takes the Fatwa out of context with the intention of abuse and distortion.

We ask Almighty Allah to protect our country from seditions and afflictions, be they revealed or concealed.

What should a praying person who doubts having offered one, or two prostrations in the third Rakah (unit of prayer) do?

Whoever has doubts about their prayer should consider what is less i.e. the above person should offer another Sajda (prostration) and complete his/her prayer, then offer Sujood As-Sahw (prostration of forgetfulness). And Allah Knows Best.

I went to the health center today to take an intramuscular injection of Neurorubin B12. The nurse told me that this type of injection breaks the fast because it nourishes the body. Is this true? I have heard that intramuscular injections do not break the fast, but I was unsure about this type, so I decided not to take the injection.
 
 
 
 
 

Therapeutic injections administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly do not invalidate the fast because they do not enter the digestive tract through an open passage. However, intravenous injections containing nutritional fluids do break the fast, as they are akin to food and drink in effect. Each vow has to be fulfilled, and repeating the words of the same vow for confirmation renders its fulfillment obligatory as one vow. As for multiple vows, they have to be fulfilled as well.

Is Fajr (dawn) Sunnah a confirmed one?
