Statement on the Disgraceful Scene Shown on a Satellite Channel

 

All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

We, along with all citizens, resented the outrageous scene shown by one of the satellite channels, contradicting all the constants of Islam and the teachings of divine religions. This is since it promotes homosexuality, obscenity and transgression against the virtuous values and ethics of the Jordanian society. Allah the Almighty says {What means}: " Those who love (to see) scandal published broadcast among the Believers, will have a grievous Penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: God knows, and ye know not." {An-Nur, 19}.

 

In light of this, We (Iftaa` Department) emphasize that media has a meaningful message and shoulders the responsibility of instilling noble values and strong morals and ethics, which play a vital role in the upbringing of the future generations. Consequently, this obscene scene defies the morals and the established foundations of committed media in our society. And Allah the Almighty knows best.

Modesty should be observed by the woman at all times, so she is free to use her phone while on the street as long as it is done within the limits of Islamic manners. And Allah The Almigty Knows Best.

Is it permissible for a woman to inherit the same share as of a man?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds, and may His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all if his family and companions.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Thorough studies in which woman's right to inherit according to law of distribution of estate indicates that there are more than one case by which women inherit the same as man and sometimes much more, or to shed the lights regarding the right to inherit while men who share the same family line with her don't have the right to inherit because the deceased has closer ties of kinship with her. In addition to four cases whereas woman inherits half share in comparison with man's share although they had the same degree of kinship with the deceased. A man married a woman at the Islamic Centre in Brussels through a regular marriage contract. However, the husband left her for two years now and never provided her with financial support. This issue is within the jurisdiction of the Islamic courts and they have the final say regarding the dissolution of the first marriage contract if there is valid ground for that. Therefore, her first marriage remains valid unless a court decision says otherwise. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.
