Statement on the Disgraceful Scene Shown on a Satellite Channel

 

All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

We, along with all citizens, resented the outrageous scene shown by one of the satellite channels, contradicting all the constants of Islam and the teachings of divine religions. This is since it promotes homosexuality, obscenity and transgression against the virtuous values and ethics of the Jordanian society. Allah the Almighty says {What means}: " Those who love (to see) scandal published broadcast among the Believers, will have a grievous Penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: God knows, and ye know not." {An-Nur, 19}.

 

In light of this, We (Iftaa` Department) emphasize that media has a meaningful message and shoulders the responsibility of instilling noble values and strong morals and ethics, which play a vital role in the upbringing of the future generations. Consequently, this obscene scene defies the morals and the established foundations of committed media in our society. And Allah the Almighty knows best.

[Al-Minhaj] Therefore, the committee must distribute the zakat to the eligible recipients without installment payments or using it to purchase material goods for them, as the committee does not have authority over the poor to allocate it in this way. It is not permissible to memorize the Quran during menstruation because memorization requires repetition, and a menstruating woman cannot touch the physical pages of the Quran. Similarly, if the Quranic verses appear on the screen of the phone, it is considered like touching the Quran. And Allah Knows Best.

A person bought a device through a usurious bank, and receives income from it every month after paying the bank for the price. Now the person regrets it, what should he do now?

This person has fallen into what is forbidden due to dealing with usury. He must repent sincerely, and whoever repents, Allah Will Accept their repentance. As for the device, there is no need to sell it. And Allah Knows Best
