Mourning Homeland Martyrs

 

Allah, The Exalted {What means}: "Think not of those who are slain in God’s way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord; They rejoice in the bounty provided by God: And with regard to those left behind, who have not yet joined them (in their bliss), the (Martyrs) glory in the fact that on them is no fear, nor have they (cause to) grieve. They glory in the Grace and the bounty from God, and in the fact that God suffereth not the reward of the Faithful to be lost (in the least)." {Al-Emran/169-171}.

The General Iftaa` Department mourns homeland martyrs who fell in line of sacred duty defending the security of Jordan and its citizens. We pray that Allah admits them to the highest ranks of paradise.

We also wish speedy recovery to the members of the security forces who were injured in line of sacred duty as well.

The General Iftaa` Department extends its deepest condolences to His Majesty King Abdullah II, to the families of the martyrs, and to the members of the security forces, praying that Allah empowers them with patience and solace. "Surely, we are Allah`s, and to Him we shall surely return."

I work at a company that provides cash advances of 800 dinars, 1000 dinars, or 1200 dinars, depending on the employee’s years of service. An administrative fee of 40 dinars is deducted from the amount in the first month, and the remaining amount is repaid in installments. What is the ruling on this, knowing that the deducted amount (40 dinars) is fixed?

We fear that the deducted amount may be a means of circumventing interest (Riba). If the deducted amount is equal to or less than the actual administrative expenses, then there is no issue, as some scholars permit the borrower to bear the costs of documenting and managing the loan. However, piety suggests refraining from taking this loan under these conditions, as dealing with private individuals and companies is not the same as dealing with the state, which spends from the public treasury. Modesty should be observed by the woman at all times, so she is free to use her phone while on the street as long as it is done within the limits of Islamic manners. And Allah The Almigty Knows Best.

Is it permissible for one to shake hands with his uncle`s daughter?

No, it isn`t because he is a non-Mahram (Marriageable) to her.
