Subject : Combining the Intention of Aqeeqah and Thanking Allah in one Animal

Question :

I want to slaughter a sheep as an Aqiqa on my behalf because my father didn`t offer one when I was a child. At the same time, this coincided with me having bought a new car through Islamic Murabaha. Is it permissible for me to slaughter one sheep as an Aqeeqah and to thank Allah, The Almighty, at the same time?


The Answer :

All perfect praise is due to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds; and may His peace and blessings be upon Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.


We advise you to slaughter that sheep with the intention of Aqeeqah, give some of its meat to the poor and have a banquet on the rest with the intention of thanking Allah, The Almighty, for that car. And Allah Knows Best.
