All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of The Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.
Every Muslim must believe that Allah Almighty is characterized by the attribute of Oneness (Al-Wahdaniyyah), which means that Allah—glory to Him—is One in His Essence, His Attributes, and His Actions. Therefore, there is no essence that resembles His Essence, no attributes that resemble His Attributes, and no action by any of His creatures that resembles His Action—Almighty and Exalted is He. Allah the Exalted says {what means}: "Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is, over all things, Disposer of affairs." [Az-Zumar/62].
Thus, it is impossible for there to exist a creature possessing hearing or sight that encompasses all existent things, because that would necessitate a resemblance to the attributes of Hearing and Sight, which belong to Allah Almighty, and He has no likeness. He the Exalted says {what means}: "There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing." [Ash-Shura/11]. Likewise, it is rationally impossible for Allah Almighty to create a creature whose attributes resemble the attributes of Allah—glory to Him—because the power of Allah Almighty does not pertain to impossibilities. If it were otherwise, the attribute of Divinity would be negated from Him due to the existence of a similitude, even in some aspects.
However, if Allah Almighty were to grant some of His creation the ability to see all created existent things, this is not rationally impossible, even if it has not been established religiously (shar'an) that this has occurred for anyone.
Imam Al-Bajuri, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "And the separate quantifier (Al-Kamm Al-Munfasil) regarding attributes: It is for someone other than Allah to have an attribute resembling His attribute—Exalted is He—such as for Zayd to have a power through which he brings things into existence and out of existence like the power of Allah Almighty, or a will that specifies a thing with some of its possible aspects, or knowledge encompassing all things. These two quantifiers—i.e., the connected (Al-Muttasil) and the separate (Al-Munfasil)—are negated by the Oneness of the Attributes." [Tuhfatul Murid / p. 163].
In conclusion, it is invalid to claim that it is permissible for Allah—glory to Him—to create a creature with hearing or sight that resembles the Hearing of Allah Almighty or His Sight, because that is impossible. The power of Allah Almighty does not pertain to the impossible, and because it contradicts the Oneness of the Divine Attributes. And Allah the Almighty knows best.
