Resolution No.(243)(12/2017) by the Board of Iftaa`, Research and Islamic Studies:

"Ruling on Renting a Piece of Land to Build a Masjid on it"

Date: 15/Moharam/1439 AH, corresponding to 5/10/2017 AD.

 

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds, and may His Peace and Blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all of his family and companions.

During its eleventh session held on the above date, the Board reviewed the letter sent from His Excellency Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Wa`elArabiat, and it read as follows:

Residents of Al-Zira` neighborhood (Hai Nazal area) submitted a request for building a Masjid on a piece of land owned by Amman`s Municipality. The Ministry asked the Municipality to facilitate that end, but the latter stipulated receiving  one hundred Dinars as an annual rent, over a period of twenty years. See enclosed contract. Could your Grace clarify the ruling of Sharia on that?

Answer:

After deliberating, the Board decided that renting the above land from Amman`s Municipality to build a Masjid on it is permissible. And Allah Knows Best.

Since the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "When someone with whose religion and character you are satisfied asks your daughter in marriage, accede to his request. If you do not do so there will be temptation in the earth and extensive corruption."
Marrying such a person is permissible because he is a Muslim, and Allah may bless him with another job in which no usury/interest is involved. And Allah The Most Exalted Knows Best.

Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to leave her house adorned and without wearing her proper Islamic attire?

Is it permissible for a woman to inherit the same share as of a man?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds, and may His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all if his family and companions.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Thorough studies in which woman's right to inherit according to law of distribution of estate indicates that there are more than one case by which women inherit the same as man and sometimes much more, or to shed the lights regarding the right to inherit while men who share the same family line with her don't have the right to inherit because the deceased has closer ties of kinship with her. In addition to four cases whereas woman inherits half share in comparison with man's share although they had the same degree of kinship with the deceased.
