Resolution No.(43): "Ruling on the Amendments of the Islamic International Arab Bank`s Articles of Association and Statute Regualtions"

Date: 25/7/1420 AH, corresponding to 13/11/1999

We have received the following question:

Do the certificate of incorporation and the statute of the Islamic International Arab bank comply with the rulings of Islamic Sharia?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

Answer: The Board has decided to approve the amendments indicated in the above letter, and which comply with the rulings of Islamic Sharia, provided that paragraph (D) of article (28) is rewritten to read as follows:

Paragraph (D) The other precautions:

Any percentage of the profits based on the suggestion of the administrative board and the approval of the general authority in favor of any other precautions, regardless of their name or purpose, in the best interest of the company and its course of business, provided that this deduction is made after that of the income tax. The father should know what is in the best interest of his daughter and consider her situation. On her part, the daughter should trust her father`s view point as far as suitors are concerned. Moreover, it is prohibited for any woman, or girl to get involved in a relation with a non-Mahram (Marriageable man).

A person is sponsoring an orphan and pays the sponsorship monthly. Is it permissible to pay this month's sponsorship from zakat money?
 
 
 
 
 

 

It is permissible to pay the orphan's sponsorship from zakat money if the orphan is poor and has no one to support them. The person must intend to count it as part of their zakat when paying the money. And Allah Knows Best.
 
 
 
 
 

If husband doesn`t pray, but wife does, is their marriage contract considered valid or not?

All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May Allah`s peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.
Not observing daily prayers is a grave sin, but doesn`t invalidate a person`s marriage contract. However, we advise you to save your husband from hellfire by convincing him to observe the prescribed prayers. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.

Do the Jinn have anything to do with the disappearance of objects?

Jinn are one of Allah creatures, and whosoever lost anything should look for it and never accuse niether the Jinn nor humans of stealing it. And Allah Knows Best.
