Relieving the People of Gaza is a Legal Obligation

"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful"

Abu Hurairah [RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

“……. A Muslim is a Muslim’s brother. He does not wrong, desert or despise him……..” {Related by Muslim}.

The General Iftaa` Department extends its sincere thanks to the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization and the Royal Medical Services for their fulfillment of the collective obligation incumbent on all Muslims, and their continuous and organized provision to our brothers in Gaza - based on the royal directives - with some of the requirements of daily life: food, medicine, treatment, and clothing. This helps our brothers in Gaza to stand firm in the face of the difficult circumstances they face.

We urge all Muslims to cooperate with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization in sending aid to our people in Gaza. Indeed, it is Allah Who grants success.

Summarized Fatawaa

What is the ruling of Islamic Law on shaving body hair and clipping the nails for one who is in a state of major ritual impurity (*junub*)?

All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon our master, the Messenger of Allah.
It is recommended for one in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) not to remove anything from his body until after the ritual bath (ghusl). It is stated in Bushrā al-Karīm bi-Sharḥ Masāʾil al-Taʿlīm (p. 135): “It is recommended for one in a state of janābah and the like not to remove anything from his body until after ghusl, because the parts of the body return to him in the Hereafter, and he returns in a state of janābah, as a rebuke to him. Then it is removed from him, except for the original parts. It is said that every hair demands its due for its janābah.”
It is stated in Ḥāshiyat al-Shabrāmallisī ʿalā Nihāyat al-Muḥtāj (Vol.2/p.341): “If he wishes to combine shaving and the Friday ghusl, he should delay the shaving until after the ghusl if he is in a state of janābah, so that the ghusl removes its trace from the hair.” And Allah Almighty knows best.

Is it permissible for a religious young Muslim woman to love a young man for Allah`s sakes?

Such love between the two sexes is from the devil`s evil suggestions, and a pure Muslim woman should beware of such a matter, and she shouldn`t mix with non-Mahrams (Marriageable ).

Is it permissible to sleep after the time of the Fajr prayer has begun, with the intention of waking up shortly afterward?

All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon our master, the Messenger of Allah.
If a person sleeps after the time of Fajr has begun, with the second adhān, then sleeping is forbidden (ḥarām) at that point, unless he is certain that he will wake up and perform the prayer within its time. And Allah Almighty knows best.

Is it permissible for the person who hasn`t made wudu` (state of minor ritual impurity) to perform the Adhan?

Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon our Master, the Messenger of Allah.

It is disliked (Makruh) for a person in a state of minor ritual impurity (Hadath Asghar) to perform the Adhan. However, if he does so, his Adhan is considered valid and fulfills the sunnah of the Adhan despite it being disliked. And Allah the Exalted knows best.
