Resolution No.(304), (9/2021): By The Board of Iftaa', Researches and Islamic Studies:

"Investing an Endowed Land for Building a Mosque"

Date (22 of Shawal, 1442AH), corresponding to (3/6/2021AD).

 

In its 8th meeting held on the above date, the Board of Iftaa` reviewed the letter No.4/2/3/5230 sent from His Excellency, the Minister of Awqaf, Holy Sites and Islamic Affairs Dr.Mohammad Al-Khalayleh. This letter reads as follows:

We would your Grace to clarify the ruling on the endowed land No.(199), area No.(9) Al-Henawa/Alomqaa' Town – one of southern Mazar's lands, which is (2002/m2). This land was given as an endowment in (1996AD) for the purpose of building a mosque o it; yet, the purpose in which the endower set his land for is unattainable, because a big mosque was built 200 meters away from his land. Therefore, he asks for the permission to make an investment on it through establishing an agriculture project on it instead.

After thorough deliberation, the Board decided what follows:

In principle, endowments are to be given and fulfilled based on endower's condition and for the same purpose in which it was endowed in the first place by the former. Due to the fact that fulfilling it is unattainable as mentioned in the above question for compelling reasons, then there is no harm on investing the endowed building in the best manner so long as its outcome is disposed as conditioned by the endower. And Allah Knows Best.

Is it permissible for a wife to boycott (not to attend to his different needs) her husband?

It isn`t permissible for the woman to boycott her husband unless he is the reason behind that, and it is recommended that both spouses seek the advice of righteous people to make reconciliation.

A woman didn't fufill fasting of the month of Ramadan two years ago, due to pregnancy and breastfeeding, at the time being she is making up the missed Ramadan. What is the ruling of Sharia? And what is due on her? 

Whosoever break the fast during Ramadan or didn't fast at all due to health concerns, is obliged to make up the missed fasts whenever she could so long as making up missed Ramadan didn't extend  to the coming one, and if next one arrived without fulling fasting the missed one, the ransom is 60 grams for each missed day (Equals 60 piasters to one Dinar for each day). And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.  

Is it permissible for a woman to inherit the same share as of a man?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds, and may His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all if his family and companions.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Thorough studies in which woman's right to inherit according to law of distribution of estate indicates that there are more than one case by which women inherit the same as man and sometimes much more, or to shed the lights regarding the right to inherit while men who share the same family line with her don't have the right to inherit because the deceased has closer ties of kinship with her. In addition to four cases whereas woman inherits half share in comparison with man's share although they had the same degree of kinship with the deceased. Is it permissible to trim the eyebrows if they become excessively long?

Trimming eyebrows is permissible if they become excessively long, yet; it is reprehensible. And Allah Knows Best.
