All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds, and my His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.
Having reviewed the insurance contract pertaining to the above mentioned Fund, it was found out that it is a contract of cooperative insurance established in favor of (JEPCO) employees to cover any disability that takes place during work and compensate heirs in case of death. Therefore, an employee is entitled to receive a certain sum, as decided by the Fund, in case of sustaining injury during work, but in case of death that sum goes to his heirs.
This is because the Fund is based on a system of lawful cooperative insurance. Allah, The Almighty, Said (What means): " Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear Allah. for Allah is strict in punishment." {Al-Mai`dah, 2}. We suggest naming this Fund: "Cooperative Insurance Fund" to avoid any Shubha (Confusedness or dubiousness). And Allah Knows Best.
