The Guidelines for Working in the Field of Obstetrics and Genecology
I am a student in the medical school. This year, our faculty decided that we take a course on Obstetrics and Gynecology. My questions are:
A- Is it permissible for me to attend practical sessions in which private parts of female patients are exposed, although some women object to that?
B- Is it permissible for a doctor to specialize in Obstetrics and Gynecology, or is this field limited to female doctors?
C- Some female patients refuse to allow male students to examine them. The professor then refrains from treating them or rebukes them, claiming they receive free treatment, although insurance is deducted from their salaries. What is the ruling on this?

Controls on Freezing and Transporting Samples in Artificial Insemination Methods

After taking the sperms from my husband, they are frozen, placed in a special medical container, and transported to Jordan where the insemination will take place. What is the ruling of Sharia on transporting these sperms? This is knowing that I`m currently taking medications and injections for ovulation induction and they are very costly and should be taken at a specific time. In addition, freezing sperms and moving them cost around ten thousand JDs.

I`m a dermatologist living abroad. A colleague of mine asked me to apply for a license for a medical center, which offers skin treatment and cosmetic laser surgery, in Jordan using my own occupational license in return for a certain amount of money. Being overseas, I can`t supervise this facility`s various activities, such as injecting with fillers, Botox and laser to remove hair and pigments, in addition to other procedures. Is this permissible knowing that these physicians are competent and well-trained? Will I be held accountable before Allah for any misconduct happening without my knowledge?

Ruling on Castrating Cats to Prevent Inevitable Mischief I would like to ask about the procedure followed in sterilizing and castrating cats. Actually, it is harmless and takes no more than ten minutes. As this is the breeding season, cats become ferocious and splash urine all over the house, causing a lot of harm. Moreover, raising cats is expensive and I can`t afford raising more than one. If I leave them as they are, they will increase in great numbers. What is the ruling on this procedure? ? Read More
