Resolution No. (298) (1/2021), By The Board of Iftaa', Researches and Islamic Studies:

"Demolishing an Old Praying Place to Replace it with New One"

Date: (14th of Jumada Al-Akhirah, 1442AH), corresponding to (28/1/2021AD).

In its 1st meeting held on the above date, the Board of Iftaa` reviewed the letter No.4/2/3/9928 sent from His Excellency, the Minister of Awqaf, Holy Sites and Islamic Affairs Dr.Mohammad Al-Khalayleh. It stated as follows: We would like your Excellency to clarify the ruling of demolishing a praying place which is built on a part of an endowed land No. (81/Southern Quarter/Al-Mafraq), due to the fact that it is an old building and a new one is to be built instead on a different part of the same land, as it was donated unconditionally in the first place intended as a public endowment. Besides, the old one won't be demolished save after the new praying place is built in order to observe the purpose for which the land was endowed as well to invest the land itself. Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to wear trousers at home?

Wearing trousers at home isn't prohibited so long as non-Mahrams do not see her. And Allah Knows Best.

Is it permissible for the guardian to give Sadaqa (voluntary charity) from the money of the orphans?

It is impermissible for the guardian to donate from the money of the orphans because he is entrusted with the safekeeping of that money, and is prohibited from donating it.

There is a car dealership, and their method of selling is as follows: The customer pays the full price of the car, the car is registered in their name, and another contract is written in which the company commits to refunding the full price of the car to the customer after one year from the purchase date. What is the Islamic ruling on this transaction?

As for purchasing the car, paying its price, and owning it, this is a valid sale with no issue. However, the condition of refunding the price — whether the car is returned to the seller or not — is an invalid condition that nullifies the entire contract. Therefore, this transaction is invalid and not permissible. And Allah Knows Best.

Although engaged to be married, a man committed adultery with another woman. What is the ruling of Sharia on this?

There is no sin on the woman to whom this man is engaged; however, he is considered a cheater and must receive the punishment prescribed in Sharia. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.
