All praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds, and may His peace and blessings be upon His Prophet Mohammad.
The time of Isha and Taraweeh (the night prayer during the month of Ramadhaan) prayers begins after the red twilight disappears-end of Maghrib time-until the dawn breaks, but it is a condition that Isha prayer be offered before the Taraweeh prayer. “
Ghayat Talkiees Al-Mouraad Min Fatawa Ibn Zeyad” {p.20} stated: “The time of Taraweeh prayer is after offering Isha prayer until the break of dawn. If one offered it before Isha, knowingly, then it isn`t accounted for, but if it wasn`t offered as such, then it is most likely to be considered absolute supererogatory prayer similar to offering the Zuhr Sunnah thinking that its time had begun, although it hadn`t. ”
Accordingly, there is no harm in offering the Taraweeh prayer, even at a late time, provided that it is offered after Isha prayer, but before the break of dawn. And Allah knows best.
