Statement by the General Iftaa` Department on His Majesty King Abdullah II`s Decision Regarding the Restoration of the Lands of Baqoura and Ghamr

 

All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

 

Allah the Almighty says {what means}: " Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth." {Al-Anbiyaa`, 105}.

 

The General Iftaa` Department appreciates the courageous stance of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein to terminate the Baqoura and Al-Ghamr agreement, which represents a historic moment in the history of Jordan and the Jordanians.

 

This historic achievement is added to the record of the Hashemites, which is full of great accomplishments in preserving the Arab and Islamic identity, and defending lands and sanctities, including the Hashemite Custodianship over Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

This wise decision achieves the noble royal vision that emanates from the constants of Jordanian sovereignty and aims to preserve every atom of the soil of this dear country so that Jordan remains dear and lofty, and the right returns to its owners.

 

In this occasion, we remember the sacrifices of the Arab Army in defending Jordan and preserving its dignity.

 

We pray that Allah protects Jordan under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.

It is permissible for women to use henna and what the asker has mentioned isn`t considered hair extension. However, if this young woman is proposed to, she must disclose this matter to the person proposing to her to avoid deception. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best. 

I work in an accounting and auditing office, and among the clients of the office are restaurants, hotels, and supermarkets that sell alcohol. Our work is limited to collecting invoices, whether purchases, sales, or expenses, and recording them in daily books. We also review income and sales taxes on behalf of these clients.

You are more knowledgeable about the nature of your work. If you see it as assisting in wrongdoing, then it is forbidden, as Allah The Exalted Says (What means): "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression" [Al-Ma’idah/2]. However, if your work is merely documenting the reality, then I hope there is no sin upon you. The the pious predecessors (Salaf) used to take the tithe from the traders of the People of the Book, even if it included alcohol, after knowing the value of their goods. Making false oath indulges its maker in Hell; therefore, he is obliged to repent, ask Allah for forgiveness and make an expiation; feeding 10 poor or providing clothes for them and in case of incapability of doing any of latters he should fast for 3 consecutive days. And Allah Knows Best. 

Is speaking to a person from the opposite sex forbidden or not?

Talking to a person from the opposite sex is forbidden in Islam because it entails a great deal of evil, which could lead to a graver sin. Moreover, Islam forbids having a friend from the opposite sex. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.
