Statement on Prohibiting the Violation of Honor

Praise be to Allah, Peace and Blessings be upon the Seal of His messengers, Prophet Mohammad and upon his Family and companions.

Allah ,The Exalted, Said (What means): "Say: "My Lord forbids only indecencies, such of them as are apparent and such as are hidden, and sin, and wrongful insolence, and that you associate with God that for which He never revealed any warrant, and that you say concerning God that which you do not know'." [Al-A`raf/33].

The Islamic Sharia's, which was conveyed to the Master of all human beings,  Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), organizes societies and civilizations, spreads mercy and love among people, and fights all sorts of aggression for all such acts are not related to Islam.

 Amongst the main objectives (Maqasid) of Islamic Sharia are: protecting  honor and lineage as well as establishing the family on  sound bases  that are in line with Sharia rules which have made marriage a sacred bond and a binding covenant for establishing the family and protecting it from offence and corruption.

It is a major sin in Islam not to treat Muslims` honor and property as sacred; therefore, penalties have been laid down as a consequence both in the life of this world and the Hereafter. Any violation in this regard is unjust to society and self for Allah does not love those who are unjust.

It has plagued Muslims today that some of those who wear clothing of scholars have emerged and taken advantage of some of the modern means of communication to publicize some suspicious calls involving the manipulation of religious texts, and taking them out of their context to serve certain ends that are not in the best interest of the Muslim nation (Ummah). These calls distort the beautiful image of Islam and its noble purposes as well as spread disagreement among Muslims.

A reflection of the above is the unlawful calls, which propagate the establishment of families without relying on legitimate marriage contracts that are in tune with Sharia rulings. This is despite the fact that family affairs have been explained in Islamic Sharia with the minutest details.

The General Iftaa` Department  warns against invalid opinions that take the form of Fatawa, but ,actually, neither represent legal Fatawa nor religiously acceptable opinions .This is because they are not based on sound evidence, not delivered by qualified scholars and include evident erroneous rulings which contradict the objectives of Sharia's.

May Allah keep this country safe and secure along with the rest of the Muslim countries, and all praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds.

Is it permissible for a woman who is in her confinement to fast upon seeing blood signs that are neither black, nor red ?

Brownish, reddish, and yellowish discharges are all considered confinement until there is no colored discharge which marks the end of confinement. Moreover, the aforesaid woman is prohibited from fasting until she attains ritual purity.

What should a sick person, who is incapable of fasting, and who didn`t make up for missed fasting days, do?

One who has missed fasting days is obliged to make up for them, but if he/she wasn`t able to because of an incurable disease , or old age, then he/she has to pay a ransom which is feeding a needy person for each of the missed fasting days.

I am pregnant with more four twins since two months although I didn't have childbearing potential during the last four years. In addition, the doctor specialized in reprusccusions, already has notified me about the possible reprusccusions as a result of being pregnant with four twins as follows: abortion, metrorrhagia, premature birth, high blood pressure, gestational diabetes and the like. What is the ruling on aborting some of the aforementioned embryos? A medical report was attached in which the status of my question is clarified.

If the existence of the four embryos leads to critical reprusccusions on mother's health, pose a threat over her life or abort all of her embryos, then aborting some of them is permissible to ward off some of those risks stipulated that the ages of the embryos don't exceed four months. And Allah Knows Best.
             

 

What is the best charity to offer on behalf of the deceased? Is it giving food, reciting Quran, giving money or supplicating? What is the best charity to offer on behalf of dead father and dead husband? What is the best continuous charity to offer on behalf of the deceased?

Praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. The deceased benefits from every righteous deed offered on his/her behalf, be that continuous charity, reciting Quran or a pious son praying for him/her. However, the best righteous deed is performing Haj and Omrah on their behalf especially if he/she hadn`t performed that ritual for it remains a debt on them. The evidence on this is that Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said: "Messenger of Allah, my mother has died (in a state) that she had to observe fasts of a month (of Ramadan). Should I complete (them) on her behalf? Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Would you not pay the debt if your mother had died (without paying it)? He said: Yes. He (the Holy Prophet) said: The debt of Allah deserves more that it should be paid."{Related by Muslim}. And Allah the Almighty knows best.
