All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

 

It is obligatory upon men and women to provide for their parents, children, and relatives in accordance with the teachings of Sharia in this regard. This means providing sufficient food, clothing, medication, dwelling , in addition to other life essentials. This aims to strengthen family bonding and preserve ties of kinship as urged by Allah The Almighty. It is incumbent upon the husband to provide all the afore essentials to his wife sufficiently. If he refuses to do the latter, then the Sharia court has the power to make him do it and its decision, in this case, is executed as in other cases of financial dispute. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.
