The General Iftaa` Department has studied the Ministry of Education`s Housing System and presented the results to His Grace, the Grand Mufti of Jordan late Nooah Salman Al-Qhodaah (May Allah have mercy on him). It was made clear to His Grace that this system contains no violations of Sharia affecting the ruling on the teacher`s subscription to it, so it is deemed permissible, however, those in charge of this Fund have to avoid dealing with usurious banks. Nonetheless, if anything changes as regards this system, then it should be asked about in due course. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.
